The final guest-ready quality inspection
Use a structured final inspection to catch presentation, cleanliness, inventory and maintenance issues before STR check-in.

The last inspection should use a separate mindset from the clean itself. Ask whether the complete arrival experience would match the property standard if the guest opened the door now.
Inspect from the guest perspective
Enter through the normal guest door and follow the natural path. This exposes first-impression issues that are less obvious while cleaning.
- Check entry, lighting and temperature
- Look for odour or visible waste
- Confirm décor placement
- Test important guest touchpoints
Use fixed inspection zones
A repeatable route prevents attention from clustering in one room. Inspect bathrooms, beds, kitchen, living areas and outdoor spaces in the same sequence.
- View surfaces from multiple angles
- Check mirrors, glass and fixtures
- Open appliances and key cabinets
- Look under beds and visible furniture
Capture useful completion evidence
Photos should verify the agreed presentation and operational exceptions. Use consistent viewpoints and avoid unnecessary personal information.
- Capture required room overviews
- Photograph damage separately
- Document low inventory
- Tie reports to the property and date
Finish with a clear handoff
Confirm completion, communicate unresolved issues and secure the property. Escalate anything that could affect arrival with enough detail for a quick decision.
- Confirm doors, keys and access devices
- List unresolved maintenance
- State whether the property is ready
- Send the update through the agreed channel
